The region of Antalya is a burgeoning tourism district and provides air, sea and land transportation to various corners of the world. Antalya is the biggest city in the region, with an international airport that accommodates flights from the nearby regions throughout the year. Antalya airport, especially in the last ten years, has become second busiest gateway to Türkiye after Istanbul, tourists flocking to the area on scheduled and charter flights. There are direct flights to Antalya daily in the summer as example from Amsterdam, Bremen, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hanover, Münster, Stuttgart, Wien, Paris, Moscow, Nantes, Lyon, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Tel-Aviv, Kiev, Alma-Ata, Orenburg and Irkutsk. One may also reach Antalya, by transit flights with a stop over Istanbul on both international and domestic flights the hale year. The flight from Istanbul to Antalya is maximum one hour.
